Allah the Exalted Is Most Just

Hadith:   “So long as a judge does not act unjustly, Allah remains with him. But once he commits injustice, Allah withdraws His support, and Satan takes hold of him.”

اَللّهُ مَعَ الْقَاضي مَا لَمْ يَجُرْ فَاِذَا جَارَ تَخَلَّى اللّهُ عَنْهُ وَلَزِمَهُ الشَّيْطاَنُ

Explanation: This noble hadith makes clear that to judge with fairness is among the most honorable and virtuous deeds. A just judge draws near to Allah. But should he issue a ruling contrary to justice, he commits a grave sin and exposes himself to ruin, unable to escape the whisperings of devils.

Undoubtedly, Allah the Exalted is the Absolute Just. He is never pleased with oppression. The justice of man is but a faint trace of the Divine Justice. The true and eternal justice belongs solely to Allah. He has created all beings in perfect harmony and has appointed a specific measure, direction, and purpose for every particle of creation. Through this, each thing is enabled to flourish within its destined potential.

Thus, the divine justice manifest in the smallest parts of the universe is surely reflected in human life as well. At times, we see pious individuals walking the path of truth who, outwardly, suffer misfortune and leave the world seemingly without attaining the blessings they deserve. Conversely, some sinners and lowly people seem to enjoy ease without punishment. Yet this is but a temporary state, born of Allah’s hidden wisdom. Allah, in His infinite knowledge, postpones true reward and retribution to the realm of the Hereafter. He grants respite, but He does not neglect.

Allah is fully aware of every injustice and sin committed by the wrongdoers. Their rightful punishment awaits the Day of Resurrection—a day when all eyes will be overwhelmed by awe and anguish.

Nevertheless, we also witness manifestations of divine justice even in this world. The calamities, disasters, and wars that befall mankind—are these not reflections of absolute justice upon those enslaved by their whims and desires?

Behold the justice of Allah! Even the afflictions that arise on land and sea are a form of divine mercy, for Allah causes His rebellious servants to taste a portion of the consequences of their misdeeds, so that they may awaken, feel shame, and turn back to Him in repentance, thereby earning His mercy and aid.
